And now it's time for Japan :3 Thanks to Takazi for posing for Japan :3
Yes, she's eating rice. That's what I think of, even more then sushi. Someone suggested I put her in a schoolgirl outfit, so, that's what I did. XD Yay to stereotypical things.
America's gonna be fun, hahaha XD

As always the artwork is very well done Kelly, I'm more of a collage artist myself, so I can't critic too much, but I'll give it a collage try.

While the skirt itself is lovely, it seems kinda under colored, as if you were doing it as kind of an after thought, or were in a hurry to finish it. Either way, it seems rather out of place amongst the more realistic style that you've chosen for coloring this particular piece.

The same is true for the lower half of the shirt, as the upper half again looks more detailed, and highly colored, the lower half almost looks cartoonish, again not a bad thing, but with this particular piece the lower half of the shirt, and the skirt both appear to be under done, while the rest of it appear to have been given a higher detail value.

While the shadows on the hand closest to us is a nice touch, they seem unneeded, especially since the light source seems to be coming in front of the character rather than from above her.

Which appears to be the same problem that the further arm has, again, the shirt appears to show the shadow in front of her, but both arms show that the shadow is coming from above her at a slight angle. I'm not entirely certain if this was intended to indicate multiple light sources, or if this was just a mistake.

The male character appears to be rather bland and kinda uninteresting I'm assuming because the focus is to be on the female character, but the question is why? While again I'm certain that the focus is to mainly be on the female character, in this particular piece the male character seems to be just as important as the female one, even if he's just there to be her snack food.

Now onto the good points of the drawing, the hair looks amazing, I love the way you have the colors blend and highlight it compliments the darker tone very well. I also love how you have given the manga style essence to this particular piece, as it looks a lot like some of the Japanese style drawing that I've seen when I read Naruto, Bleach, or even some lesser known ones, this one seems to spring me to mind of "Rosario+Vampire Series One" the most as they appear so similar to each other, and I'm glad to see that you've given it your own flair while trying to stay true to source material.

I give the coloring a 6/10 mostly because of the shadow work that it makes it hard to tell where the light source is coming from and from the low quality of the lower half of the shirt, and skirt.

The Drawing style I have to give it a solid 8/10 This loses two points for while it appears that you tried to stick with your own style you appeared to be trying to push for a more Japanese style artwork. Which does fall a little short, only because of one detail, you forgot the pointy nose. ^_^"

Props, I have to say a 4/10 mostly because of the fact that again while I'm sure that the male character is just a prop, I would've liked to have seen more detail in his face at least enough to make out an expression. Your normally very good at this, but I think because you were trying to go with a Japanese manga style artwork you may have relied to heavily on the female character to take much of the attention away from the male character.

The background, I have to say really falls flat on the standards that I've come to expect from you and have to give this a 3/10. While it is a way to show the nationality of the character, it's just rather flat, and boring, normally in your backgrounds you always show a lot of color, and action and this one is well dull. I'm certain that you were again probably trying maybe a form of Japanese artwork, but it just doesn't seem to fit with your style drawing, and what I've come to expect from you. I'm sure I'm just being nit picky, but I like your drawing style, and this background is just well, below your standards.

And finally my overall Rating, I'd say a good 9/10, while the picture has it's faults, (again I'm not entirely certain as to whether, or not they were intentional, and I may just be nit picking) it is a great piece, and a fantastic display of your talents, and ability to show that your are capable of drawing in a different art style than what you normally do, and that is really something to be admired, and I hope that you continue to strive forwards in your art.
